Instructions

  1. Prepare the herbs
Wash and thoroughly dry the fresh herbs. Finely chop the dill, parsley, and chives. Mince the garlic clove or press it through a garlic press for the best texture and flavor distribution.
  2. Mix the base
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Whisk together until smooth and well incorporated. This creates the creamy base of your ranch dressing.
  3. Add the seasonings
Add the fresh herbs (dill, parsley, chives), minced garlic, onion powder, dried dill (if using), Worcestershire sauce, white pepper, and salt to the creamy base. Stir well to distribute all herbs and seasonings evenly throughout the mixture.
  4. Balance the flavors
Add the lemon juice and stir to incorporate. Taste the dressing and adjust seasonings if needed. For a thinner dressing, add more buttermilk, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Refrigerate and serve
Transfer the dressing to an airtight container or glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together. The dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
