Instructions

  1. Prepare the wings
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with vegetable oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Arrange for baking
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack, ensuring they don't touch.
  3. Bake the wings
Bake wings in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, turning halfway through, until the skin is crispy and golden brown. For extra crispy wings, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  4. Prepare the Buffalo sauce
While the wings are baking, make the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and honey (if using). Whisk until well combined and heated through, about 5 minutes. Keep warm until wings are done.
  5. Coat the wings
When the wings are finished baking, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot Buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until thoroughly coated. For a more intense flavor, let the wings sit in the sauce for 1-2 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve
Arrange the Buffalo wings on a serving platter with celery and carrot sticks. Serve with blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping. Serve immediately while still hot and crispy.
