Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the wingsPreheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder until evenly coated.
-
Arrange for bakingLine a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack, making sure they don't touch each other.
-
Bake the wingsBake wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until skin is crispy and golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
-
Prepare the garlic parmesan sauceWhile the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in 3/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using.
-
Coat the wingsWhen wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
-
Garnish and serveTransfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
