Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the garlic butterIn a medium bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, basil, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated into a smooth, fragrant spread.
-
Prepare the breadPreheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bread, cut side up, on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. If using a whole loaf, slice it lengthwise to create two halves.
-
Apply the garlic butterUsing a knife or spatula, generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut surfaces of the bread. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it on top of the butter mixture.
-
Bake the garlic breadPlace the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges of the bread start to turn golden brown. For extra crispiness, switch the oven to broil for the final 1-2 minutes, but watch carefully to prevent burning.
-
Slice and serveRemove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for 1-2 minutes. Cut the bread into approximately 2-inch slices using a serrated knife. Serve immediately while still warm and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
