Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). If using fresh spinach, blanch it in boiling water for 30 seconds, then immediately transfer to ice water. Drain thoroughly and squeeze out excess water. Chop the spinach and artichoke hearts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix the base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and well blended. Add the minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Add the cheeses and vegetables
Fold in the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, 3/4 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and all of the parmesan cheese. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Prepare for baking
Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch baking dish or pie plate. Spread it evenly and top with the remaining 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake the dip
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the dip is bubbling and the cheese on top is golden brown. For extra browning, you can broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  6. Serve
Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, pita chips, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
