Instructions

  1. Combine the base ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth and well combined.
  2. Add the herbs
Stir in the chopped chives, dill, and parsley. Make sure they're evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Incorporate the seasonings
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Adjust consistency
If the dressing is too thick, add a little more buttermilk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. For a thicker dressing (good for dips), use less buttermilk.
  5. Taste and adjust
Taste the dressing and adjust seasonings if necessary. You may want to add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice according to your preference.
  6. Chill before serving
Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together. The dressing will taste even better after a few hours in the refrigerator.
