Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method. For best results, use a dark roast coffee and brew it slightly stronger than you normally would to stand up to the added ingredients.
  2. Add the salt
While the coffee is still hot, add the sea salt or kosher salt to the coffee and stir until completely dissolved. The salt helps to reduce bitterness and enhance the natural flavors of the coffee.
  3. Sweeten the coffee
Add sugar to taste and stir until fully dissolved. The sweetness balances the salt and creates a harmonious flavor profile. If using vanilla extract, add it at this stage.
  4. Add cream and spices
Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Stir gently to combine all ingredients without creating too much foam.
  5. Serve immediately
Pour the salt coffee into pre-warmed mugs. For an elegant presentation, you can top with a small pinch of sea salt flakes or a light dusting of cinnamon. Serve hot.
