
Vanilla Rooibos Latte
A soothing caffeine-free tea latte with warm vanilla notes

Brew the teaIn a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat, add the rooibos tea bags or loose tea, and let steep for 5-7 minutes until the tea is a deep reddish-amber color.

Infuse with vanillaIf using a vanilla bean, scrape out the seeds and add both the seeds and pod to the tea. If not using a vanilla bean, you'll add the vanilla extract later. Allow to steep for another 2 minutes.

Remove tea bagsRemove the tea bags or strain the loose tea. If using a vanilla bean, remove the pod. Return the tea to the saucepan.

Add milk and flavoringsAdd the milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract (if not using a vanilla bean), cinnamon, and nutmeg to the saucepan with the tea. Warm over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until steaming but not boiling.

Froth the mixtureFor a creamier texture, use an immersion blender, milk frother, or blender to froth the latte mixture. Alternatively, you can vigorously whisk the mixture to create some froth.

ServePour the latte into mugs. If desired, top with additional frothed milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Garnish with cinnamon sticks if using.
