Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the marinadeIn a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and sriracha (if using). Mix until well combined.
-
Marinate the salmonPlace the salmon fillets in a shallow dish, skin side up. Pour two-thirds of the marinade over the salmon, reserving the rest for glazing later. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
-
Preheat and preparePreheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place skin side down on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake the salmonBrush the salmon with some of the reserved marinade. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
-
Reduce the glazeWhile the salmon is baking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly to create a glaze.
-
Glaze and finishRemove the salmon from the oven and brush with the reduced glaze. Turn on the broiler and place the salmon under it for 1-2 minutes to caramelize the glaze, watching carefully to prevent burning.
-
Garnish and serveSprinkle the salmon with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side, alongside steamed rice and vegetables if desired.
