Instructions

  1. Toast the bread
Toast all 6 slices of bread until golden brown. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the spread
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard together until well combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the first layer
Spread the mayo-mustard mixture on one side of each bread slice. On 2 slices, layer the turkey breast, followed by a slice of tomato. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Create the middle layer
Place another slice of bread, mayo side up, on top of each sandwich. Add 3 strips of bacon to each, followed by lettuce and avocado slices if using.
  5. Complete the sandwich
Top each sandwich with the remaining bread slice, mayo side down. Gently press down on the sandwich.
  6. Cut and secure
Using a sharp knife, cut each sandwich diagonally into quarters. Insert a toothpick into each quarter to hold the layers together.
  7. Serve
Arrange the sandwich quarters on plates and serve immediately with potato chips, fries, or a light salad on the side.
