Turkey Avocado Wrap
Light and nutritious wrap with creamy avocado and lean turkey
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the avocado spreadIn a medium bowl, combine the mashed avocados with lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. This will prevent the avocado from browning and add flavor.
-
Warm the tortillasHeat a large skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush one side of each tortilla with olive oil. Place tortilla oil-side down in the skillet and warm for about 30 seconds until pliable and slightly toasted. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
-
Assemble the wrapsLay the warmed tortillas on a clean work surface. Spread 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt or sour cream on each tortilla, followed by an even layer of the avocado mixture, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
-
Add fillingsDivide the turkey slices evenly among the tortillas. Top with lettuce or mixed greens, tomato slices, red onion, and cilantro leaves if using.
-
Roll the wrapsFold in the sides of each tortilla, then roll up tightly from the bottom, tucking in the sides as you roll to create a secure wrap. If needed, secure with toothpicks.
-
Slice and serveUsing a sharp knife, cut each wrap diagonally in half. Arrange on plates and serve immediately, or wrap tightly in parchment paper or plastic wrap if taking to go.
