Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the shrimpPat the shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This ensures proper browning. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
-
Sauté the garlicIn a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking gently for 2-3 minutes until garlic is fragrant and just beginning to turn golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic as it will become bitter.
-
Cook the shrimpIncrease heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes on one side until pink, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until opaque and cooked through. Shrimp cook quickly, so watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
-
Add the wine and butterPour in the white wine and let it simmer for 1 minute to reduce slightly. Add butter and allow it to melt into the sauce, creating a silky emulsion.
-
Finish the dishRemove the pan from heat. Add lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly in the sauce.
-
Serve immediatelyTransfer to a serving dish, making sure to pour all the flavorful sauce over the shrimp. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with crusty bread for soaking up the delicious sauce.
