
Chicken Cuban Sandwich
A flavorful twist on the classic Cuban sandwich using roasted chicken

Prepare the chickenIf using plain roasted chicken, toss it with mojo sauce (or the olive oil, garlic, and lime juice mixture), dried oregano, and ground cumin in a bowl. This will infuse the chicken with traditional Cuban flavors.

Assemble the sandwichesSpread mustard on the bottom half of each bread roll and mayonnaise on the top half. Layer 2 slices of Swiss cheese on the bottom half, followed by 2 slices of ham, about 1/2 cup of the seasoned chicken, and a quarter of the pickle slices. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.

Butter the exteriorSpread the softened butter evenly on the outside of both the top and bottom of each sandwich. This will help create a crispy golden crust when grilling.

Grill the sandwichesHeat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches on the heated surface and press down firmly with a heavy pan or sandwich press. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until the bread is golden and crispy and the cheese has melted.
