Instructions

  1. Prepare the soursop
If using fresh soursop, cut the fruit in half and scoop out the white flesh. Carefully remove all the black seeds and any fibrous parts. If using frozen soursop, allow it to thaw slightly for easier blending.
  2. Combine ingredients
In a blender, combine the soursop pulp, coconut milk, condensed milk, sugar (if using), vanilla extract, and pandan extract (if using). Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add ice and lime
Add the crushed ice and lime juice to the blender. Pulse a few times until the ice is incorporated and the mixture reaches your desired consistency. The smoothie should be thick but pourable.
  4. Taste and adjust
Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness by adding more condensed milk or sugar if needed. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water or more coconut milk. If too thin, add more ice or frozen soursop.
  5. Serve and garnish
Pour the smoothie into chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and toasted coconut flakes. Serve immediately with a straw for the authentic Vietnamese experience.
