Juicy steak and melted cheese in a warm tortilla wrap
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the steakSeason the thinly sliced steak with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
-
Sauté the vegetablesIn the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant. Season with remaining salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
-
Combine steak and vegetablesReturn the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables and stir to combine everything. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through and blend the flavors. Remove from heat.
-
Warm the tortillasHeat the tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side or in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until warm and pliable.
-
Assemble the wrapsDivide the steak and vegetable mixture among the four tortillas. Sprinkle each with an equal amount of shredded provolone cheese while the mixture is still hot so the cheese begins to melt.
-
Roll and serveFold in the sides of each tortilla and roll up tightly to form a wrap. If desired, return the wrapped tortillas to a dry skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Cut each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately.
