Sauté the aromaticsIn the same skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant. Transfer to the slow cooker.

Combine ingredientsAdd diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and drained kidney beans to the slow cooker. Stir to combine with the meat and aromatics.

Add seasoningsAdd chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the slow cooker. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined and evenly distributed.

Cook low and slowCover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours. The longer it cooks, the more the flavors will develop and meld together.
