Prepare the shrimpPat the shrimp dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with 4 cloves of minced garlic, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toss to coat evenly and let sit for 5 minutes.

Cook the garlic baseIn a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Add the remaining minced garlic and cook until fragrant but not browned, about 30 seconds.

Cook the shrimpAdd the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Drizzle with soy sauce and toss to coat. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.

Assemble the bowlsDivide the cooked rice among four bowls. Top each bowl with a portion of the garlic shrimp, including the butter sauce from the pan.
