    Toast the sourdough bread slices until golden brown and crispy on the outside but still slightly soft in the middle. You can use a toaster, toaster oven, or broiler for this step.
  2. Prepare the avocado mixture
    In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with a fork, leaving some small chunks for texture. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. Assemble the base
    Lightly brush the toasted bread with the remaining olive oil. Spread the mashed avocado mixture evenly over each slice of toast, creating a thick layer.
  4. Add the salmon
    Carefully arrange the smoked salmon slices on top of the avocado layer, folding or rolling them slightly for height and texture.
