Instructions

  1. Prepare the broth
In a large pot, bring chicken stock or dashi to a simmer. Add grated ginger and minced garlic, then simmer for 5 minutes to infuse flavors. In a separate bowl, mix miso paste with a ladle of hot broth until smooth, then pour back into the pot. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and mirin. Keep warm on low heat.
  2. Cook the pork belly
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the thinly sliced pork belly until crispy and browned on the edges, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare the noodles
Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions, but reduce cooking time by 30 seconds for a slightly firmer texture. Drain well and divide among four serving bowls.
  4. Prepare the eggs
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently place eggs in boiling water and cook for exactly 6 minutes for a jammy center. Transfer immediately to an ice bath, then peel and cut in half lengthwise.
  5. Assemble the ramen bowls
Pour hot broth over the noodles in each bowl. Arrange the cooked pork belly, halved soft-boiled eggs, bean sprouts, corn, and nori strips on top of the noodles. The ingredients should be organized in sections for visual appeal.
  6. Add finishing touches
Sprinkle sliced green onions over each bowl. Add a small drizzle of sesame oil on top for extra flavor and aroma just before serving.
