Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee
Brew espresso or strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature. For a quicker cooling process, you can pour hot coffee over a few ice cubes in a heat-resistant container.
  2. Mix chocolate base
In a blender, combine cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, sugar, and a splash of milk. Blend on low speed until smooth to ensure there are no cocoa lumps.
  3. Combine all ingredients
Add the cooled coffee, remaining milk, vanilla extract if using, pinch of salt, and ice cubes to the blender. Blend on high speed until smooth and frothy, about 30-45 seconds.
  4. Prepare serving glasses
Drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of two tall glasses for a decorative effect. Pour the blended mocha mixture into the glasses, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  5. Add finishing touches
Top each glass with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings and add a final drizzle of chocolate syrup. Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon.
