Ingredients
Instructions
-
Brew the teaBring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
-
Create the lime syrupIn a small bowl, combine the sugar, honey, and 1/4 cup of hot water. Stir until completely dissolved. Add the lime juice and lime zest, then stir to combine. This creates a sweet-tart lime syrup.
-
Combine tea and lime syrupPour the cooled tea into a large pitcher. Add the lime syrup and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or lime juice to your preference.
-
Chill the teaRefrigerate the tea mixture for at least 1 hour until thoroughly chilled. This allows the flavors to meld together perfectly.
-
Prepare for servingFill tall glasses with ice cubes. If using condensed milk, add 1/2 tablespoon to each glass and stir briefly to create a swirl effect.
-
Serve and garnishPour the chilled tea over the ice, leaving room at the top of each glass. Garnish with fresh lime slices and mint leaves. Serve immediately for maximum refreshment.
