Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade
In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, tandoori masala, cumin, garam masala, red chili powder, salt, turmeric, and oil. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  2. Marinate the lamb chops
Make small cuts on the lamb chops to allow the marinade to penetrate. Add the lamb chops to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Prepare for cooking
Remove the marinated lamb chops from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) if using an oven.
  4. Grill the lamb chops
Place the marinated lamb chops on the preheated grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 4-5 minutes per side for medium. If using an oven, place the chops on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through.
  5. Rest and serve
Transfer the cooked lamb chops to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve with lemon wedges.
