
Pear and Gorgonzola Bruschetta

Prepare the breadPreheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil.

Toast the breadBake the bread slices for 5-7 minutes until they're lightly golden and crisp on the outside but still slightly soft in the center. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Prepare the pearsWhile the bread is toasting, core the pears and slice them thinly. If not serving immediately, brush the slices with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.

Toast the walnutsIn a small dry skillet over medium heat, toast the chopped walnuts for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned, tossing occasionally to prevent burning. Set aside.

Assemble the bruschettaPlace 2-3 pear slices on each toasted bread slice. Sprinkle the crumbled Gorgonzola evenly over the pears. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese begins to melt slightly.

Add the finishing touchesRemove from the oven and immediately drizzle each bruschetta with honey and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with the toasted walnuts, fresh thyme leaves, black pepper, and a tiny pinch of sea salt.
