Overnight Chia Pudding
Creamy, nutrient-packed breakfast ready when you wake up
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Mix the base ingredientsIn a medium bowl, combine the chia seeds, almond milk, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk thoroughly until well combined.
-
Allow initial thickeningLet the mixture sit for 10 minutes, then whisk again to break up any clumps that may have formed. This prevents uneven gelling overnight.
-
Portion and refrigerateDivide the mixture evenly into four serving jars or containers with lids. Seal the containers and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow the pudding to set completely.
-
Prepare toppingsShortly before serving, wash and slice any fresh berries. Toast the sliced almonds in a dry pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until lightly golden for enhanced flavor.
-
Serve and garnishWhen ready to serve, top each pudding with mixed berries, toasted sliced almonds, shredded coconut, and hemp seeds if using. For a sweeter version, drizzle with additional maple syrup or honey.
