Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp
Rinse the shell-on shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. If desired, use kitchen scissors to cut along the back of the shrimp shells to make them easier to peel when eating.
  2. Make the sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Creole seasoning, lemon juice, hot sauce, oregano, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Cook the shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and start to curl. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp as they will become tough.
  4. Add the beer
Pour in the beer and stir to combine. Let the sauce simmer for another 1-2 minutes to slightly reduce and incorporate the flavors.
  5. Finish the dish
Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings if needed.
  6. Serve hot
Transfer the shrimp and plenty of sauce to serving bowls. Serve immediately with slices of French baguette for sopping up the delicious sauce.
