Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the Brussels sproutsPreheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Trim the stems from the Brussels sprouts and remove any discolored outer leaves. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise. Place them in a large bowl, toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
-
Roast the Brussels sproutsSpread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet, cut side down. Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
-
Prepare the maple Dijon glazeWhile the Brussels sprouts are roasting, combine the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
-
Glaze the Brussels sproutsWhen the Brussels sprouts are finished roasting, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the maple Dijon glaze over the hot Brussels sprouts and toss gently until they are evenly coated.
-
Add toppings and serveTransfer the glazed Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon (if using) and toasted pecans. Serve immediately while still warm for the best flavor and texture.
