Instructions

  1. Prepare the base ingredients
Gather all your smoothie base ingredients (spinach, frozen banana, pineapple, avocado, ginger, chia seeds, almond milk, and sweetener if using). Ensure the banana has been previously frozen for at least 4 hours for the best texture.
  2. Blend the smoothie
Add spinach, frozen banana, pineapple chunks, avocado, ginger, chia seeds, and almond milk to a high-powered blender. Start blending on low speed, then gradually increase to high until the mixture is completely smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Add sweetener if desired and blend briefly to incorporate.
  3. Check consistency
The smoothie should be thick enough to eat with a spoon. If it's too thick, add a splash more almond milk. If it's too thin, add more frozen banana or ice cubes and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. Serve and garnish
Pour the smoothie mixture into two serving bowls. Arrange toppings artfully on top - sprinkle granola, coconut flakes, and arrange fresh berries and kiwi slices. Serve immediately while cold and thick.
  5. Storage (optional)
If not consuming immediately, you can store the blended base in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir well before serving and add fresh toppings just before eating.
