Garlic Butter Grilled Chicken
Juicy chicken breasts with savory garlic herb butter
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the garlic butterIn a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme leaves, and lemon zest. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. Set aside at room temperature.
-
Prepare the chickenIf chicken breasts are very thick, place them between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound to an even thickness of about 3/4 inch. This ensures even cooking. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
-
Season the chickenIn a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, and paprika. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil on both sides, then sprinkle evenly with the seasoning mixture.
-
Preheat the grillPreheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375-400°F). Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
-
Grill the chickenPlace the chicken breasts on the preheated grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes on the first side without moving them. Flip once and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and juices run clear.
-
Apply the garlic butterDuring the last 2 minutes of grilling, spread the garlic butter mixture generously over each chicken breast, allowing it to melt into the meat.
-
Rest and serveRemove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes on a cutting board. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice just before serving.
