Instructions

  1. Prepare the bread
Spread the softened butter on one side of each bread slice. These will be the outer sides of your sandwich. Flip the bread over and spread mayonnaise on one slice and Dijon mustard on the other slice.
  2. Add the cranberry sauce
Spread the cranberry sauce evenly on top of the mayonnaise. This creates a tangy base that pairs perfectly with the turkey.
  3. Layer the ingredients
On the slice with cranberry sauce, layer the sliced turkey, Swiss cheese, avocado slices, and baby spinach. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper for added flavor.
  4. Assemble and cook the sandwich
Close the sandwich with the mustard-spread slice of bread, butter side out. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve
Remove from heat, cut in half diagonally, and serve immediately while warm and toasty. Pair with sweet potato chips or a light salad for a complete meal.
