Prepare the baking panPreheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

Mix dry ingredientsIn a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Combine wet ingredientsIn a separate medium bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, eggs, melted butter, and vegetable oil until smooth and well blended.

Form the batterPour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir just until combined - do not overmix. The batter will be thick and slightly lumpy.

Add cranberries and nutsGently fold in the chopped cranberries and walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
