Citrus Herb Grilled Salmon
Juicy salmon fillets with bright citrus and fresh herbs
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the marinadeIn a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, orange zest, orange juice, minced garlic, honey, and Dijon mustard until well combined. Stir in 1 tablespoon each of the chopped dill and parsley, all the thyme leaves, salt, and pepper.
-
Marinate the salmonPlace the salmon fillets in a shallow dish, skin side down. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring the tops are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes (no longer, as the citrus will begin to cook the fish).
-
Preheat the grillPreheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F). Oil the grates well to prevent sticking. Alternatively, preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat on your stovetop.
-
Grill the salmonRemove salmon from the marinade, gently shaking off excess. Place the fillets on the grill, skin side down. Close the lid and grill for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the fillets and grill for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked to your liking (internal temperature of 125°F for medium-rare or 130°F for medium).
-
Rest and garnishTransfer the salmon to a platter and let rest for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining fresh herbs. Serve immediately with lemon and orange wedges on the side for additional flavor.
