  1. Prepare the baguette
    Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise to create two sandwiches. If desired, lightly toast the cut sides of the baguette under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until just golden.
  2. Add the spreads
    Spread the Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each baguette portion. Spread the cranberry sauce or fig jam on the top half of each baguette portion.
  3. Layer the ingredients
    On the bottom half of each baguette, layer the sliced turkey breast evenly. Place the brie cheese slices on top of the turkey. Add the thinly sliced red onion on top of the brie.
  4. Add the greens
    In a small bowl, toss the arugula with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Distribute the dressed arugula on top of the sandwich layers.
  5. Finish the sandwich
    Place the top half of the baguette over the fillings and press gently. If desired, wrap tightly in parchment paper or foil and let sit for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve
    Cut each sandwich in half diagonally and serve immediately. For the best flavor experience, enjoy at room temperature.
