Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee
Brew coffee using your preferred method. Make it stronger than usual as it will be diluted with milk. Set aside and let it cool slightly.
  2. Combine the three milks
In a medium saucepan, combine the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk. Heat over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling, stirring occasionally to ensure the milks blend smoothly.
  3. Add flavorings
Remove the milk mixture from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and pinch of salt. Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Combine coffee and milk mixture
Slowly pour the coffee into the milk mixture while stirring continuously. This creates the base of your Tres Leches Coffee.
  5. Serve and garnish
Pour the coffee mixture into four mugs or heat-resistant glasses. Top each serving with a generous dollop of whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
