Teriyaki Chicken Sliders
Juicy chicken sliders with sweet and savory teriyaki glaze
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the chicken mixtureIn a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, teriyaki sauce, green onions, ginger, and garlic. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix which can make the patties tough.
-
Form the pattiesDivide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape into small patties slightly larger than the slider buns (they will shrink when cooking). Press a small indent in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
-
Cook the slidersHeat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). During the last minute of cooking, brush each patty with additional teriyaki sauce.
-
Prepare the spicy mayoWhile the patties are cooking, mix mayonnaise with sriracha sauce (if using) in a small bowl. Set aside for serving.
-
Toast the bunsLightly toast the slider buns either in a toaster, under a broiler, or in the same pan after removing the cooked patties. Toast until just golden, about 30 seconds.
-
Assemble the slidersSpread the bottom half of each bun with the spicy mayo mixture. Top with a chicken patty, shredded cabbage, and diced pineapple (if using). Drizzle with a little more teriyaki sauce if desired, then place the top half of the bun on each slider.
