Prepare the matchaIn a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to remove any clumps. Add 2 tablespoons of hot (not boiling) water and whisk until the matcha is fully dissolved and smooth.

Combine base ingredientsIn a blender, add the dissolved matcha, frozen banana slices, almond milk, Greek yogurt, sweetener of choice, and vanilla extract.

Add remaining ingredientsAdd the ice cubes, avocado (if using), chia seeds, and a pinch of salt to the blender. The avocado will make the smoothie extra creamy while the salt will enhance the overall flavor.

Blend until smoothBlend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until all ingredients are completely incorporated and the smoothie is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary and blend again.

Adjust consistencyIf the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk, 1 tablespoon at a time. If it's too thin, add more ice or frozen banana. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
