Instructions

  1. Prepare the herb butter
In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, chopped chives, thyme leaves, parsley, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. Set aside at room temperature.
  2. Prepare the grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (approximately 375-400°F). Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Prepare the corn
Brush each ear of corn lightly with olive oil to coat all sides. This will help prevent sticking and promote even charring.
  4. Grill the corn
Place corn directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and grill for 8-10 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes to ensure even cooking. The corn is done when it's tender and has nice char marks on all sides.
  5. Apply the herb butter
Remove the hot corn from the grill and immediately brush generously with the herb butter mixture, making sure to coat all sides. The heat from the corn will melt the butter and help the herbs adhere to the surface.
  6. Serve
Transfer the buttered corn to a serving platter. Dollop any remaining herb butter on top of the corn or serve it on the side for guests to add more if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
