Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the baking sheetsPreheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
-
Cream the butter and sugarsIn a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
-
Mix the dry ingredientsIn a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
-
Add the chocolate chipsFold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips with a rubber spatula until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
-
Form the cookiesUsing a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough (about 2 tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
-
Bake the cookiesBake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft. The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.
-
Cool and storeAllow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
