
Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal
A warm, comforting breakfast with all the flavors of a cinnamon roll

Prepare the baking dishPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Set aside.

Mix the dry ingredientsIn a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the ingredients.

Combine wet ingredientsIn a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, 1/2 cup maple syrup, vanilla extract, and 3 tablespoons of melted butter until thoroughly combined.

Create the cinnamon swirl mixtureIn a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside for the swirl.

Assemble the baked oatmealPour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour half of the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle two-thirds of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top. If using nuts, sprinkle half of them as well. Pour the remaining oatmeal mixture on top and finish with the remaining cinnamon sugar and nuts.

Bake to perfectionBake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for 5-10 minutes.

Prepare the cream cheese glazeWhile the oatmeal is cooling, make the glaze by beating together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and remaining 2 tablespoons of maple syrup until smooth. Add a splash of milk if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Serve and enjoyDrizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm baked oatmeal. Serve immediately while warm, or portion and refrigerate for up to 5 days for a quick breakfast option.
