Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the ovenPreheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating. If not, lightly oil a large baking sheet and sprinkle with cornmeal.
-
Prepare the doughOn a floured surface, stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-14 inch round or rectangle, depending on your pan. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet or a cornmeal-dusted pizza peel if using a stone. Brush the outer edge with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.
-
Add the base layersSpread 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and all of the gouda cheese over the sauce.
-
Add the toppingsIn a bowl, toss the pulled pork with the remaining 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce until well coated. Distribute the pork evenly over the cheese layer. Add the red onion slices and jalapeño slices on top, then sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
-
Bake the pizzaCarefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown in spots.
-
Finish and serveRemove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and green onions. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
