Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, skin-side down. Brush each fillet with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add Lemon Slices
Arrange lemon slices on top of and around the salmon fillets. This will add flavor and moisture during the baking process.
  3. Bake the Salmon
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  4. Prepare the Dill Sauce
While the salmon is baking, prepare the dill sauce. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, chopped dill, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Mix well until smooth and creamy. If using, fold in the capers. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Rest the Salmon
Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the fish, making it more tender and flavorful.
  6. Serve
Transfer the salmon fillets to serving plates. Spoon the dill sauce over the salmon or serve it on the side. Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired.
