Instructions

  1. Prepare the oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating. Otherwise, lightly oil a large baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to a 12-14 inch circle or rectangle, depending on your pan. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet or a pizza peel if using a stone. Brush the dough with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, focusing on the edges.
  3. Add the base layers
In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Spread this garlic oil over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Then spread the tomato sauce evenly over the garlic oil. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  4. Add the toppings
Distribute the red onion, bell pepper, olives, cherry tomatoes, and artichoke hearts evenly over the cheese. Sprinkle the crumbled feta on top and drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle with fresh or dried oregano.
  5. Bake the pizza
Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. If using a stone, slide the pizza from the peel onto the stone. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  6. Finish and serve
Remove the pizza from the oven. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve immediately while hot.
