Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the doughIn a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
-
Make the sauceIn a small saucepan, combine crushed tomatoes, half the minced garlic, and half the oregano. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then set aside to cool.
-
Prepare the seafoodIn a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Add remaining garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the seafood is partially cooked and the shells begin to open. Remove from heat, discard any unopened shells, and toss with lemon juice and half the parsley.
-
Shape the pizzaPreheat your oven to the highest setting (usually 500°F/260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper or a lightly floured pizza peel.
-
Assemble the pizzaSpread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Scatter the mozzarella pieces around the pizza, then distribute the partially cooked seafood evenly over the top. Sprinkle with remaining oregano and red pepper flakes.
-
Bake the pizzaCarefully slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and crisp and the seafood is fully cooked. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
-
Finish and serveRemove the pizza from the oven and immediately garnish with the remaining fresh parsley. Drizzle with a little olive oil if desired. Slice and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
