Creamy melted cheese infused with aromatic herbs and garlic
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the CamembertPreheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove any plastic packaging from the Camembert. If it comes in a wooden box, remove the lid and place the cheese back in the base of the box, or place in a small baking dish if the box isn't staple-free.
-
Score the cheeseUsing a sharp knife, score the top of the Camembert in a crosshatch pattern, making cuts about 1cm deep. This allows the flavors to penetrate the cheese as it bakes.
-
Add flavoringsInsert the sliced garlic pieces into the cuts you've made in the cheese. Arrange the rosemary sprigs and thyme leaves on top. Drizzle with olive oil and honey, then sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using and a little black pepper.
-
Bake the cheesePlace the cheese (in its box or dish) on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the center is melted and gooey but the cheese still holds its shape.
-
Prepare accompanimentsWhile the cheese is baking, arrange the sliced baguette, grapes, walnuts, and apple slices on a serving platter.
-
Serve immediatelyRemove the baked Camembert from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to the center of your serving platter, surrounded by the accompaniments. Serve while still warm and melted for the best dipping experience.
